He was predeceased by: his father Ambrose Buckman. He is survived by: his mother Sherry Buckman; his siblings, Chris (Cathy), Curt (Theo), Melissa (Dean) and Julie; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan, Kyle, Landon, Collin, Garrett, Hayley, Kayla, Alivia, Alli and Kendall.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you extend your heart and donations to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health) of greater Kansas City.
