He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Weldon and Velma Waunita Gray (Ross); his grandfather Ross; his son Jimmie Ross Gray; his grandson Stephen Otterman; and his sister Della Vionne Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Nichols; his daughter Shirley Elaine Otterman (Richard) of Trimble, Missouri; and his daughter-in-law Connie Gray of Kansas City, Missouri. He is also survived by six grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren.
