With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis Gene Baker of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, who passed away on October 11, 2025 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester Lee Baker and Mattie Leona Baker (Hightower); his wife Bessie Jean Barker; and his sons, Stanley Lee Baker (Eva) and Dennis James Baker.
He is survived by: his daughters, Linda Howerton (Dan) and Gail Baker; his grandchildren, Chris Baker, Stephanie Baker, Crystal Boucher (Billy), Danny E. Howerton, Jr. (Christina) and Jeff Baker (Danielle); his great grandchildren, Bre'Anna, Chandler, Courtney (Ethan), Tre (Jasmine), Mason, Aubrey, Carsyn, Max, Zachary, Caleb, Elijah, Devin, Jacob and Abigail; his great great grandchildren, Avery, Eden and Harley; and his pet Butterscotch.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Hidden Valley Funeral Home of Excelsior Springs (5951 Highway 10, Excelsior Springs, MO 64024). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
