Janet Denise (Franklin) George, 70, of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away February 15, 2022. She was born on December 3, 1951, to Willard Roscoe and Myrtle Marie (Newell) Franklin in Marshall, MO. Janet attended school in Corder, MO. She was 1 of 12 children. Janet will be forever remembered by her husband, Tod George Sr, 2 daughters, April Gates (husband Gregory), Teresa Sage (significant other Preston), former son-in-law Carl Sage, 2 stepsons Tod George Jr, Stephen George, and 1 stepdaughter, Shelby George. She had 2 biological grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Frankie (April's son) and Taylor (Teresa and Carl's daughter), as well as numerous bonus grandchildren. Janet held various warehouse and sales jobs in her lifetime, officially retiring in 2014. She enjoyed crafting, small woodworking projects, and yard work. Janet was known by others as having a spitfire personality. She loved and loved hard. She had a don't quit attitude which she proved in the last few days of her life and there was nothing she wouldn't do. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, 1 sister, and 4 brothers.
