He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Green Frye and Neva May Blacketer (Burnett); and his wife Dora Joann Frye (Todd). He is survived by: his stepfather Jewell T. Burnett; his children, Gary (Lori Frye), Kans, Karen Etheridge (Garry Whitworth), Patty (Gary Easley), Mark (Gina Frye), Lee Ann (Mark Eldredge) and Cheryle (Lance Workman); and his sisters, Shirley Ross of Orrick and Virginia Funk of Kansas City. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Always friendly!I loved that he could light up a room with that smile! And that laugh... priceless! I loved visiting with him. Reading to him was wonderful and we loved to discuss the stories. I will miss that ray of sunshine, but I will keep all the memories close at heart! Thank you for sharing him! He made my job and my world a much better place!”
