He was predeceased by: his parents, Efton Friend and Juanita Friend (Murrill); his wife Sandy Eagleburger of Springfield, MO; his daughter Dana; and his siblings, Betty Garfit, George Friend, Nettie Sue Hogan, O. J. Friend, Rebecca Friend, Eva June, Benny Friend, Lawrence Friend and Mary Bates.
He is survived by: his son Darrell; and his sister Wilma Pendergrass of Gainesville, MO. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
