William leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. William’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew William will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Austin Hotelling and Margareet Armeda Smith of Fair Grove, Missouri.; his wife Joyce Lillian Hotelling; and his brother Harold Lee Hotelling. He is survived by: his aunt Mary Geraldine Hotelling of Republic; his siblings, Juanita Harp, Hazel Rowden of Fair Grove and John Hotelling of Ava Missouri; and his children, Bert Hotelling of Fair Grove, Austin Hotelling of Carthage, Laurel Allen of Omaha and Sara Sommerville of Haxtun, Colorado.. He is also survived by Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the First Baptist Church of Fair Grove (220 S Main St, Fair Grove, MO 65648).
