He was predeceased by: his father Jerry William, Sr.; and his siblings, Russell Key and Sherry Wisham. He is survived by: his mother Nell Key (Black); his children, Jason and Mandy; his wife Rosemary Key; his grandchildren, Sophia Key, Josh, Jasey and Jaxson Smith; and his sisters, Debbie Key, Warrenville and Carol New. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
