He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Earl and Rosemary Minnie Barnes (Ford); his wife Glenda Garrison; his daughter Angela "Angie" Sanford; and his brothers, Robert Barnes Jr. and John Barnes.
He is survived by: his son Edward Barnes Jr. of Potosi; his grandchildren, Derek and Shawn Sanford; and his siblings, Mike Barnes (Carol) of Farmington, Louie Barnes (Patty) of Montgomery City, Margaret Nonn (Melvin) of Piedmont and Tina Barnes of Farmington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, September 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sam A Baker State Park (5580 MO-143, Patterson, MO 63956).
