She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Efffan and Wilma Efffan (Propst); her husband Marvin Hickman; her daughter Janice Hickman; her brother John Jones (Jack); and her grandson Adam Jennings.
She is survived by: her children, John Hickman (Mary) of Doe Run, Kim Jennings (Jeff) of Ste. Genevieve, Becky Long of Branson and Mark Hickman of Doe Run; her grandchildren, Amanda Sheets (Tim), Josh Hickman (Becca), Alex Long and Malayna Hickman; her great grandchildren, Tucker Sheets, Brylee Hickman, Hadley Sheets, Brayden Hickman, Levi Hickman and Miles Miller; and her sister Mary Hull of Farmington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Cozean Memorial Chapel (217 W Columbia St, Farmington, MO 63640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials, if desired, may be made in Joan's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of the funeral home.
