With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Marie Pemberton (Farmington, Missouri), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2026 at the age of 104. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Marie Pemberton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Smotherman and Lula May Smotherman (Todd); her husband Freeman Edward Pemberton; her siblings, Fred Harold, Cleo Frank, Daniel, Theda Gay Kaschmitter, Veda Maxine, Eldridge and Weda May Clemen; and her children, Paul Freeman Pemberton and Sylvia Jean "Sammie" Kettler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Betty Lambert (Kenny) of Sikeston, Phyllis Hastings (Harry) and Sandra Triplett (Dennis) of Germantown, Tennessee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Abundant Life Family Church or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
