He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles H. Young and Norma Lea Young (Nelson); his son Matthew Garrison Young; his siblings, Barbara Briley, Charles "Clay" Young and Marcie Hoff; and his brother-in-law Paul Dickey.

He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Young (DeGrant); his son Bill Young (Torie); his grandson Andrew Young (Heather Bequette); his siblings, Debbie Horton, Lisa Aubuchan (Tim) and Allen Young (Lisa); and his siblings-in-law, Clyde Briley and Carol Young. He is also survived by his family, friends, and neighbors.
