She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Druey Hampton and Mary Elizabeth Hampton (Bainter); her husband Carl Alvin Hovis, Jr.; her son Timothy "Tim" Hovis, Sr.; her grandson Timothy "Timmy" Hovis, Jr.; her son-in-law David Anderson; her stepmother Glenda Hampton (Harvey); her siblings, Geneva Jones, Margie Wells, Laura Mae McDaniels, Shirley Martin, Helen Juanita, Wilburn, Everett, Orville, Edward, Donald, Raymond and Fred; and her stepsiblings, Vera Mae Hughes, Opal Bilbruck, Martha Lair, Howard Hughes, Lee Hughes and Paul Hughes.
She is survived by: her daughter Tamara "Tammy" Anderson; her grandchildren, Allicia Hovis, Jonathan Anderson (Vanessa), Matthew Anderson, Ashley Nettles, Michelle Austin and Christina Kellick (Jason); her great grandchildren, Edward, Hannah, Jaycee, Peyton, Drew, AnnaMae, Breauna and Owen; her great great grandchild Rhyker; her brother Howard "Sonny" Hampton; and her half-siblings, Frank Hampton and Anna Marie Moore. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
