He is survived by: his wife Leora J Weatherington; his children, Daniel Wayne Kay (Laurinda) and Melissa Lee Callaway (Chris); his grandchildren, Emilee Hinkle (Jake), Hunter Kay (Peggy), Ty Callaway and Sam Callaway; his great grandchildren, Eleanor, Hadlee Hinkle, Magdalene and Amos Kay; and his sister Thelma Williams. He is also survived by numerous other family members, friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Crossroads First Church of God (8154 Old Jackson Rd, Farmington, MO 63645).
