She was predeceased by: her parents, Willard Govro and Barbara Govro (Wiley); her husband John Buchanan; and her sister-in-law Sharon Kay Berry. She is survived by: her sons, Jason Buchanan (Amanda) and Josh Buchanan (Abby); her grandchildren, Logan Buchanan, Bryce Buchanan, Hutson Buchanan, Cole Buchanan and Geneva Buchanan; her sister Pam Link (Jim); her aunts, Jetty Reese and Marilyn Wiley; her niece Dana Hern (Drew); her great-nephew Cooper Hern; and her friend Rozie Richardson.
