He is survived by: his wife Karen Rugg; his children, Anna Miller (Rob) of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Paul Rugg of Boonville, MO and Cassandra Kyd of Lone Elm, MO; his grandchildren, Clint Rugg, Lavae Kyd and Evelyn Kyd; and his siblings, Lois Hogue (Ron) of Kansas City, KS, Linda Robb (Bill) of Hannibal, MO and Oscar Rugg (Heidrun) of Stutgardt.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the C/O Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service (174 Hwy. 5 & 240 N, Fayette, MO 65248). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, September 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Howard County Fair Association.
