He was predeceased by : his parents, James Lyle and Sarah Pansy Britton (Spencer); his wife Morrene Hughes; and his brother Richard Spencer Britton. He is survived by : his brother Master Pilot Award; his daughter Alison Dice (Joshua) of Overland Park, KS; his grandchildren, Ashton, Rhett, Kaylina and Caden; and his girlfriend Paula Dolan.

There were many years during our midlife when we lost touch but in the past few years I have enjoyed reconnecting with Robert and recollecting our frenetic year at Central College in 1959-1960, including enlisting in the Marine Corps!
