Sarah Leona Jones Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Leona Jones in Fayette, Missouri, who passed away on April 11, 2026 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kenneth and Julia Louise Acton (Burnett); her children, Cynthia Louise and Clinton Burnett; her granddaughter Shauna Hayes; and her brothers, Frank and Charlie Acton.

She is survived by: her husband Alfred Cleo "Shorty" Jones (Harrisburg); her daughter Melissa Jones of Fayette; her grandson Clinton Jones (Destinee) of Glasgow, MO; her great grandchildren, Knox and Drew; her siblings, Joseph Acton (Della), Doc Acton (Charlotte), Mary Ruth Gibson, Lozetta Acton, Debbie Wiseman, Bev Acton and Edie Acton; her aunt Leona; and her daughters, Sara Stewart, Bonnie Gibson, Melanie Burnett, Brenda Spurling and Jennifer Barnhill.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Fayette City Cemetery or St. Judes.
