It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Thompson (Fayette, Missouri), born in Burlington, Vermont, who passed away on February 8, 2026, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil R. Shipman and Ethelyn McCuin Shipman; her husband Reginald C. Thompson; her brothers, Herbert Shipman and Stanley Shipman; her sister-in-law Carol Shipman (Reginald Thompson); and her nephews, Gordon Thompson and Mark Thompson.

She is survived by: her sons, Mark and Gordon; her granddaughters, Cynthia Thompson of Ruidoso, Judy Thompson of Fayette Missouri, Sarah Suski (Chris) of Albuquerque, NM and Janelle Palmer (Andrew) of Ashland, MO.; her great grandchildren, Randall Suski-Oppedahl, Arwen, Zachary Suski, Cade, Brooks and Berkeley Palmer; her sister-in-law Muriel Shipman of Cambridge, VT; and her friend Greta Ingalls. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, their children.
