He was predeceased by : his parents, Thomas Shay and Ruby Shay (Cozean); his sisters, Pat Knepper and Mary Yager; and his grandson Caleb Emme.
He is survived by : his wife Connie; his children, Brad Shay of Fulton, Beth Schmidt (Steve) of Woodstock, IL, Shary Auer (Art) of Columbia, Rick Trimble (Patty) of Jefferson City and Robert Trimble of Fayette; his grandchildren, Josh Schmidt (Candice), Adam Schmidt, Lucas Schmidt, Parker Trimble, Cordell Trimble, Georgia Trimble, Sadie Burkhart (Troy), Patrisha Emme and Mariah Emme; and his great grandchild Lydia Burkhart.
