He was predeceased by: his parents, Steven Sawyer and Meta Sawyer; his wife Moonyean Sawyer; and his siblings, Robert Sawyer, Truman Sawyer, Irene Grindstaff and Lorene Talley.
He is survived by: his children, Diane Raglin (Steve), Denise Sansocie, Dottye Conrad and Donna Butler (Ronnie). He is also survived by grandchildren, twenty-four (24) great-grandchildren; one (1) great-great grandchild; along with numerous other extended family.
