He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Swartz and Ruth Swartz; his wife Patricia Swartz; his stepson Billy Hyser; and his sister Gladys Haig (Dave).
He is survived by: his children, Joan Swartz, Scott Swartz (Lacie) and Jeff Swartz (Julie); his stepchildren, Linda Bagby (Glenn), Deanna Willis (late Bill) and Stephen Hyser; his grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole, Erick (Sarah), Tabitha, Julia (Dustin), Sam (Abby), Kelli (Nick), Seth, Caden (Amaya), Sophia, Landon (Natalie) and Benjamin; and his brother Chuck Swartz (late Helen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Fenton (650 Oakwood Dr, Fenton, MO 63026).
