He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Deavens and Lillian Deavens. He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Deavens and Darwin Deavens; his daughter-in-law Beverly Deavens; his grandchildren, Sheonte Deavens, Kia Deavens, Tarrynn Deavens, Gregory Deavens II, Danielle Deavens and Leticia Joseph; his great grandchildren, Jaylond Deavens, Marian Bentz, Serena Deavens and Sheri Hall; and his siblings, Mary Kathryn Cooper, Lillian Collier, Ann Marie Mays, Richard Deavens and Don Deavens (Linda). He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
