We announce the death of David Looney (Forsyth, Missouri), born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, who passed away on August 11, 2026, at the age of 79. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Emily Looney (Cookie); his parents, David Lester Looney and Rachel Faye Looney (McKinley); his sister Sandra Faye (Eubele); his siblings-in-law, Elyse Ohmes and Steve Culp; and his nephew Matt Culp.
He is survived by: his sister-in-law Marlene Carrel (Robert); his nieces and nephews, Kristen Ransone, Randi Stewart, Brenna White, Andrew Ohmes and Brian Cook; his siblings-in-law, Linda Culp and Keith Ohmes; and his pet Jack. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
