He is survived by : his wife Marvia Tweedy; his children, Wayman May, Johnny May (Amy), Alan May and Dixie Fontenot (Dwayne); his brother John May (Serene); and his grandchildren, Makayla, Payton, Jackson, Jacob and Jonathan.

Visitation was held on Saturday, May 18th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel (16560 US-160, Forsyth, MO 65653). A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the McCarty Cemetery.
