In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact John had on those he encountered along his journey. Though John may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Loughner and Maybelle Loughner. He is survived by: his wife Nancy K Loughner of Forsyth; and his children, Kristie Butler of Blairstown, Jim Hayes (Renee) of Murphy and Katie Plum (Matt) of Lenexa. He is also survived by two grandsons and three great-granddaughters.

Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church (951 Swan Valley Dr, Forsyth, MO 65653). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery (5201 S Southwood Rd, Springfield, MO 65804).

The family suggests donations to the church in lieu of flowers.
