He was predeceased by: his parents, William Cort and Winona Cort (Jenks); his daughter Donna Bowersox; and his siblings, Bud Cort and Lois Shirley.
He is survived by: his wife Velva Cort; and his children, Debbie Johnson (Jim) of Jackson, Michigan, Barbara Brown of Charlotte, Bonnie Brown of Stanley, Bobby Cort (Regina) of Lincolnton and Carol Knudsen (Charles) of Hollister, Missouri. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
