He was predeceased by : his parents, Raymond Cicero Sr. and Deallie Mae Cox (Malone); his spouse Leoma Jewell Rutherford; and his siblings, Jesse Charles Cox, Marie Cox, Linda King and Betty Young.

He is survived by : his sons, Gavin Cox (Diane) of Fredericktown, Shane Cox (Missy) of Fredericktown and Shannon Cox of Fredericktown; and his siblings, Raymond Cox Jr. (Evelyn) of Annapolis, Missouri, Shirley Westerman (Bill) of St. Louis and Barbara Miller (Douglas Baker) of St. Louis. He is also survived by Eleven grandchildren and Twelve great grandchildren.
