She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Wodecker and Audrey Wodecker (Tiemann); her stepmother Freda Wodecker (Mauf); and her siblings, Kenny Wodecker, Muriel Drury, Patsy Wodecker (Dorothy Mauf) and Lanny Goetz.

She is survived by: her husband Leonard Lowell Bales; her sons, Steven Bales (Barbara), Dennis Bales (Deborah), Kenneth Bales (Tina) and Keith Bales (Julie); her grandchildren, Kyle Bales, Kory Bales (Laura), Kaleb Bales (Alisha), Ryan Bales (Julie), Kristin Bales, Claudia Bales, Madison Bales, Mason Bales and Mackinley Bales; her great grandchildren, Gemma, Karli, Maggie, Lettie, Elijah, Zoey and Mitchell; and her sister Audrey Goetz.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, First Baptist Church of Fredericktown or Wounded Warrior Project.
