He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Royer and Audrey Royer (Means); his siblings, Howard, Shirley, Lee Gale, Paul and Linda Starkey; his brothers-in-law, Joe Allgier and George Starkey; his nephews, Rodney Royer and Nick Allgier; and his great-nephew Joshua Royer.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Smallen; his children, Leah Ann Royer Govreau of Fredericktown, Missouri, Randy Royer (Jennifer) of St. Charles, Missouri, Jill Royer Walka (David) of Fredericktown, Missouri and Russyl Royer of Fredericktown, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Chris Hinkle, Will Royer, Anthony Royer, Jace Royer, Aaron White, Joshua White, Rachael Hinkle, Meagan Burlock, Kelsey White, Savannah White and Ashley Christopher; his great grandchildren, Harley Gipson, Breanna Burlock, Aya Royer, Sirena Royer, Nyla Henn, Amber Christopher, Aiden, Adam and Ashton Christopher; and his brother Louis Royer of Fredericktown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
