Though Shirley may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Underwood and Lola Underwood; and her husband Vernon Maxson. She is survived by: her former spouse Carliss Stevens (Steve); her siblings, Bonnie, Donna and Paul; and her children, Douglas Stevens (Paula) of Farmington, Roger Stevens of Doe Run and Vannetta Stevens Groeteke of Branson, MO.. She is also survived by 7 stepchildren, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and loving nephews and nieces.
