She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, William Dean Waters and Zelma Waters (Beam); her husband Virgel Glenn Thornburg; her children, Brenda Shankles (Harold), Virgel Thornburg, II, Billy Thornburg and Douglass Thornburg; and her siblings, Sue Knight (Leroy), Lisa Pickard, Walter Waters (Sandra) and Kavan Waters. She was also cherished by eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
