He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Kern and Opal Marie Prettyman (Duncan); his grandson Johnathan; and his sisters, Lillie, Dollie, Judy and Martha.
He is survived by: his wife LaDonna Prettyman of Freeman, MO; his daughters, Nora Tallman of Belton, MO, Ruth Ann Heines and Clara Clark of Belton, MO; and his sisters, Mary Alice Brown of Cedar Hill, MO and Louella Tanner of Freeman, MO. He is also survived by five grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
