She is survived by: her daughter Polly Herndon-Houston (Christian) of Kingdom City, Missouri; her siblings, James Hoyt Jr. (Tami) of Minnesota and Mary Myers (Rick) of Ohio; and her mother-in-law Marilyn Herndon of Kingdom City, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nephews.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the National Association of the Deaf.
