He was predeceased by: his parents, Burt Edwin and Wana Marie Smith (Clark). He is survived by: his son Merlin Ray Smith (Regina); his brothers, Merlin Dale Smith (Terry) and Gerald Lee Smith (Kathie); and his grandchildren, Morgan Ward (Kyle), Mallory Smith, Jayme Smith, Tilor Zeugin (Jaylen), Dustin Clark (Jamie), Austin Clark (Lacey) and Jordan Killion. He is also survived by 12 great grandchildren.
