He is survived by: his wife Linda Nelson; his children, Marie Scott, Cindy Mahan, Joseph Nelson, James Nelson, Claude Nelson, Heather Trevino and Niki Jones; and his siblings, Buddy Nelson and Velma Wages. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
