She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Gerson Landers (R. G.) and Mary Ruth Landers (McDonald). She is survived by: her husband Ray Oxley; her siblings, Stacy Landers (Linda) and Debbie Landers; her niece Shannan Robinson (Andy); and her nephew Christopher Newton (Bonnie). She is also survived by several great-nieces, one great-nephew, and many cousins.

While living in North Carolina, Mary was honored as Volunteer of the Year in recognition of her many contributions to the community.
