With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gerald G Peterson of Galena, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 11, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin and Verla Faye Peterson (Jones); and his siblings, Donald Peterson, Delmar Peterson, Shirley Weis, Bernadine Herron and Sharon Burgess.
He is survived by: his wife Imogene Peterson (Russell); his children, Philip Peterson (Janet) of Carl Junction, MO, Nathan Peterson (Ginna) of Claremore, OK, Timothy Peterson (Michaela) of Joplin, MO, Debra Dixon (David) of Belton, MO, Rebecca Peterson of Aurora, MO, Rachel Hill of Galena, MO and Sarah Obert (Danny) of Lockwood, MO.; and his granddaughter Joy Eddings (Hunter). He is also survived by other daughter, 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the New Testament Christian Church (21016 Main St, Reeds Spring, MO 65737).
