It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L Butterfield of Galena, Missouri, born in Lincoln, Nebraska, who passed away on November 5, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Clyde Butterfield and Alice Butterfield (Joachim); his wife Gloria Butterfield; and his brother Jack Butterfield. He is survived by : his children, Robert L. Butterfield of Friend, NE and Barbara Lairmore of Vesta, NE; his sister Susan Lewis of Lincoln, NE; and his grandchildren, Jerel Lairmore, Katsy Lairmore and Kendra Lairmore.

“Bob and Barb. So sorry to here about Bill. John and I spent many years with Bill and Gloria when they lived in Lincoln. Bill got John started in carving and we spent a lot of time carving, playing music, traveling, and eating the fish from the lake. After they moved to Missouri, we spent a lot of time visiting and looking for driftwood. Lots of good memories to always remember. Nancy Burke”
