He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. F. G. Hopkins and Lena Beverly Hopkins Willard; and his brother John Hopkins. He is survived by : his wife Eugenia; and his children, Keith Hopkins (Carrie), Kelly Morell (Steve) and Phillip Hopkins (Heather). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society for cancer research.
