She was predeceased by: her parents, David Ozro Midkiff and Carie Turner Midkiff Berry; her husband Orval Deweese; her daughter Karol Jane Garris; her siblings, Burness Stark, David Middkiff and W. W. Midkiff; and her siblings' children, Alice Midkiff and Billy Midkiff.
She is survived by: her daughters, Regina Schaffer of Gideon and Stacy Whitfield (Don) of Kennett; her grandchildren, Jillian, Kelsey Gottschalk, Nic of Mineola, Zachary Schaffer of Cape Girardeau and Dalton Whitfield of Cape Girardeau; her great grandchildren, Lorelei Gottschalk and Scarlet Gottschalk; and her sibling's children, Shirlene Stark, Jenese Sparks, David O. Midkiff, Larry Midkiff, John Midkiff and Gary Colegrove.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (301 E 4th St, Gideon, MO 63848). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
