He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Cornelius and Marie Edwards (Garner); his granddaughter Faith Smith; and his siblings, Mary Hodde, Betty Carter and John Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Louise Vollnogel; his children, James D. Edwards (Marla), John Edwards, Rose Redenbaugh (Randy), David Edwards (Mary), Lela Harper (David), Sarah Farmer (David) and Gaylene Smith (Chandler); and his sisters, Ruby Worley (Ronnie) and Frances Miller. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be given to the Nashua Baptist Church Building Fund.
