With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kathryn Kumpf of Gladstone, Missouri, born in Saint Marys, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 21, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Kathryn may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kathryn touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Wood and Bill Wood; and her sisters, Nita and Danelle. She is survived by: her brother Bill Wood Jr.; her son Rob Kumpf (Melanie); her stepgranddaughter Chelsey Rowden (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Maddie and Rylyne; her son Barry Kumpf (Laura); and her grandchildren, Sarah, Kaley and Jayse. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
