He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Mathes and Allene Mathes (James); his sisters, Roylene Barker, Linda Lonberger and Brenda Mason; his son-in-law Jeff Boyer; and his sister-in-law Judy Anne Westhoff.
He is survived by: his children, David Mathes (Laurie) of Downingtown, Janet Reed (Larry) of Kirksville and Julie Boyer of Gorin, Missouri; his grandchildren, Nigel Mathes (Laura), Gavin Mathes, Brooke Eskridge, Stephanie Reed, Tyler Reed, Chris Boyer (Michelle) and Amanda Hall (Ben); his great grandchildren, Carter, Liam Eskridge, Wesley Boyer, Fletcher and Madeline Hall; his sisters, Barbara Miller and Anita Barker (Cliston); and his sister-in-law Kathy Sue (Jeff).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in memory of Garry to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation.
