He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Lincoln Kerby and Eileen Kerby Graves; his wife Nancy; and his son Lance Kerby. He is survived by: his children, Travis Lincoln Kerby (Deedra) and Cynthia Kerby Mattingly (Mitchell); his grandchildren, Savannah Kerby Williams (Nicholas), Chariton Kale Kerby (Kawon), Austin Taylor Marks (Leah) and Thomas Baker Mattingly; his great grandchildren, Willa Ann Griffin, Jonah Hugh Griffin, Wesley Kaye Griffin and Henry Keith Marks; his sister Nancy Janette Kerby Ayer (Dwayne); his siblings-in-law, Edith May Glenn, Esther Ray Cypert, Virginia Lee Melvin, Marie Smyser and Glen Manley Smyser (Mary); and his friend Charles Ridge. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Norman Funeral Home (402 W Washington St, Lancaster, MO 63548). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
He started writing a journal in his young adulthood and continued until his Alzheimer's stopped his writing a few years ago.
