It is with sadness that the passing of Charlie Mathis Bateman in Golden, Missouri is shared. Charlie, born on November 17, 1940 in Springhill, Louisiana, passed away on September 18, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his fathers, James William and Percy Bateman (Suttle); and his brothers, Jimmy Bateman and Johnny Bateman. He is survived by: his wife Martha Bateman of Golden; his sons, Charles Christopher Bateman (Emily) of Jacksonville Beach and James Bryant Bateman (Amanda) of Longview; and his grandchildren, Austin, Hunter, Bella and Ryker. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

A graveside service was held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Eureka Springs Cemetery.
