He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou (Cuba); his parents, Sally Olson (Ramold) and Clarence Olson; his sister Judy; and his sister-in-law Janet Brooks (Robert Cuba).
He is survived by: his sons, Steven (Angie) of Omaha, NE, Thomas (Charlotte) of Boerne, TX, David (Suzanne) of Conway, AR and Edward (Sara) of Ozark, MO.; his siblings, Joan Roche (late Richard) of Butte, MT and James (Nancy) of Mishawaka, IN; and his sisters-in-law, Celeste of Chesterfield, MO, Elaine (Chuck) of Marietta, GA, Patrice of Athens, GA and Julie (Nick) of Humble, TX.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
