He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Carpenter and Alene Carpenter (Harbison); his wife Meredith Hickok; and his sister Patricia Garlock. He is survived by: his children, Clifford Carpenter, Jr., Jeffery Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter (Claudia) and Angela Slussser (Ed); his grandchildren, Jacob Cassity, Nathan and Collin Slusser; and his brother Robert Carpenter (Virginia). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
