He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Grier and Patricia Grier; and his siblings, Thomas Grier and Sharron Kay Bennett. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Grier (Diana Yaley) and Melody Grier-Shaw (Sydney Shaw, Sr.); and his grandchildren, Melana Shaw and Sydney Shaw, Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends.
