With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Diana L. Johnston of Grain Valley, Missouri, born in Akron, Ohio, who passed away on July 29, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Virgil Lay and Barbra Lay (Wigfield); and her brother David Lay. She is survived by: her husband Chuck Johnston; her sons, William Johnson of Grain Valley and Troy Johnston of Dunkirk; her sister Patty Speedy of Akron; and her granddaughters, Ashley Riddle, Katie Roberts (Justin) of Kansas City, Taylor Weaver of Zephyrhills, Emalee Black of Kansas, Haleigh Black, Alexis Weaver of Independence, Faith McCulloch of Buckner, Lauren Johnston and Aiden Johnston of Dunkirk, Maryland.. She is also survived by 2 nieces, 4 nephews and 10 great grandkids.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Grain Valley Assistance Council or Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Blue Springs, Missouri in Diana's name.
